Don't omit Iraq's continued firing at our planes as we were enforced the no-fly zone. At some point they could very easily have gotten lucky and shot one down. I hate to think what might have happened to one of our pilots had that happened.
Obviously, some people don't remember it but the situation was intolerable and needed to be resolved. That's why even Clinton had regime change as a priority, and left it to his successor, Bush, to resolve. Typically, Clinton just talked about it, while Bush did something about it. It's called "leadership."
Clinton was a coward and a dupe, he wouldnn't have done anything if they had shot one of our planes down.
