I tell you what, though---in order to get that agenda through, it is going to take a strong headed attack from the Republican senate---I would include the HOuse, but we HAVE strong headed people in the House, like Tom Delay and Mike Pence...
See Senators don't make good POTUS candidates, but if they don't work to get the Presidents agenda through, then they pretty much will set up ANY GOP candidate for failure...
The tricky part is---the dems, with the filibuster of judicial nominees (I am ignoring that stupid compromise), Soc. Security, and now possible impeachment hearings and the hearings that Specter is going to hold re: torture, the dems have pretty much bottled up the legislative calendar, so nothing will get done at least until 2006!!!
That is why it will take someone--maybe President Bush himself, to stand up and say "enough is enough"---cut the crap and do your jobs, congresscritters and quit campaigning 24/7/365!!!!
The nonsense needs to end. Whether it be the President or someone else, these people were hired to represent the American people, not to bottle up nominations or allow losers to put on Faux trials to make themselves feel important.
Spectre only resides in that Senate because the President willed it, whereas the President was given the approval of the Majority of the country. The egotist needs to sit down, shut up, and learn his place. If that is beyond his reach, strip his Chairmanship.
See Senators don't make good POTUS candidates, but if they don't work to get the Presidents agenda through, then they pretty much will set up ANY GOP candidate for failure...
Exactly. Couldn't state it any better. Yet that is part of the problem. If they showed the leadership necessary to navigate this agenda into reality they would be worthy of consideration for POTUS. The main reason they are usually poor candidates is that Senators are viewed as verbose compromisers, where Governors are decisive delegators. ANY Senator with conservative credentials that wants to be president needs to win in the Senate. If they cannot win there, I am relunctant to support them against the National Democrat or World Body. They may be a nice guy and say the right things, but that doesn't matter to me as much as action.
It was that nanny trial. The British au pair thing.
I haven't seen much, I stumbled into awareness of the DemonicRat plan, came across a website Downingstreetmemo.com.
More here :
I think there has been media play in Britain though, maybe some of our English Freepers can add to that.

Let's capture what we can, might be nice to have:

It has been nearly two weeks since the damning memo was released, and the Fourth Estate has failed us. Every American has a right to know about its government's decision to wage war, and every news outlet has the responsibility to bring that information to the public.
Since the media won't inform our fellow citizens, we will.

Thanks to all who contributed ideas and assistance in the previous Downing Street Memo Diary.
Members of the Daily Kos community have worked non-stop in the last 48 hours to launch a website where citizens can learn about the memo and take action.
Highacidity, Mikecan1978, and myself have established this site as one where people can learn about the memo, and, most importantly, take action.
The website, DowningStreetMemo.com has the following features:
Additionally, we need your help promoting the site. We've made a graphic which you can insert in your emails and forward to your friends and family:
There is also a banner that you can put on your websites to encourage people to visit the site and learn more about the memo:
There is still much work to be done. Getting the truth to the American people is paramount, and this website is the first step.
If the media won't do the job, let's show them how it's done...

I hadn't bothered to look at them before, but they now seem to have Conyers and Kerry trying to do something.
My undertstanding of this memo is it is an opinion with no facts to back it up

Though we had lost you due to your packing and moving activities.
No, I'm still here, but my packing is almost finished! Dang near killed me... for the past 48 hours I have been running a fever no lower than 102. I think it's dehydration.
Better have the good Doctor look at you and give you a prescription.
I had something myself a few days ago, but seem to be over it now.
I put the actual Memo up on a short thread and pinged you and Mo1, lot of people talking about it, not sure many have actually read it.
He has me on antibiotics. I'll be fine once this fever breaks and I gain back what I think is lost water weight.
Well Duh, see the link at post #572.
Must be my bedtime....
HUH? No, I read the memo you posted. If anyone is missing the point.. it's fever ravished me...lol.
