Well, before they began this "in your face" program of demanding this and that, I think that they might have been better off than they are now, although I have absolutely no statistics which would indicate whether or not the lamentable activity of "gay bashing" has increased or decreased since this group became more vocal.

To desensitize our country to eventually accept homosexuality as "normal" behavior.....which eventually will lead to them being able to marry and receive all the same benefits as married hetero couples. IMO, it's really not as much about marriage as the financial angle.
They've successfully lobbied school boards to add homosexual sex into their sex education format. They've been able to introduce books for children as young as 5-years-old with homosexual themes.
It's insidious! The idea is to indoctrinate them while they're young.
