Sorry, but Jimmy Carter was far more than a mere doofus. Doofuses aren't dangerous, because they aren't let near to places where they can do harm. They sure aren't elected to high office. Jimmy Carter managed to get his self-absorbed and vaingloriously incompetent self into places and circumstances, while we all looked on, where he could and and did do ENORMOUS damage that continues to haunt us today. And he didn't stop when the American people tossed his sorry self out of the Whhite House. He managed to continue to do harm in big ways. Witness North Korea.
