Here's the problem. While Newsweek got the details wrong, they got the essence of the story right. There were situations where the Koran was not respected. If it had urine thrown on it, then that was improper.

Look, I have deep feelings about many of these folks being detained also. I'm not sure where you draw the line between getting the information you need to get and where it crosses the line into abuse. Despite what they are and who they represent, they are still human, maybe in our mind sub human, but still human. And despite how wrong we may believe their faith may be, it is still their faith. And let's face it, Christians sometimes are just as horrible as Muslims are. Northern Ireland come to mind? Where is the religion of peace in that situation?

Put the shoe on the other foot. What if our son or daughter was involved in a situation in their country and got detained. What if they suspected our son or daughter was involved in terror. What if they questioned our son or daughter in the same manner we've qeustioned them? What if our son or daughters Bible or other holy item was abused? There would be outrage from us and our family members and maybe more.

I do not believe there is even an allegation of urine being "thrown" onto a Koran.

"And let's face it, Christians sometimes are just as horrible as Muslims are."

I suggest you report to the nearest hospital for a getyourheadoutofyourassectomy. Your comprehension will be greatly improved.
