Charlotte Church: Bush Is a Weirdo (Brit with the voice of an angel - and the brain of a mollusk)
The Trinity Mirror [UK] ^ | June 3, 2003 | Unattributed

Welsh singing star Charlotte Church branded US President George Bush "a right weirdo" and opera legend Pavarotti a "big fat diva", it has been reported.

The singer took a swipe at the famous men during an appearance on Glasgow-based Clyde 1 radio to promote her new single, Crazy Chick.

Church, 19, said gaffe-prone Bush had no idea where Wales was when she met him after performing for outgoing President Bill Clinton in Washington in 2000.

...the voice of an angel...

And a tongue of fire.

"...the tongue is set among our members as that which defiles the entire body, and sets on fire the course of our life, and is set on fire by hell." (James 3:6b)

Cameras lie a lot and nobody takes ten good pictures out of ten. This one seems more realistic:

Charlotte Church sings her way to No. 1

December 19, 2000
Web posted at: 12:37 PM EST (1737 GMT)

NEW YORK (CNN) -- Charlotte Church has received her Christmas present early this year. Her third album, "Dream a Dream" is the No. 1 Christmas album in the United States.

---snip---

CNN chatted with the teen with the angelic voice recently when she stopped by the studio for a special holiday performance.

CNN: Is it true you've had enough of being called an angel?

Charlotte Church: No, I don't mind that. I can't help mentioning it without kind of joking that my halo slipped, but I don't mind it.

CNN: It appeared to be pretty sturdy when you helped light the Christmas tree in Washington with President Clinton and his family.

Church: That was really really cool. I met the Clintons last year in July, and then I met them again in Washington a couple of days ago, and they were really, really lovely. Hillary gave me a big hug and I was talking to Chelsea, who was really sweet.

^^^^^^

If anyone recalls, GWB was in a contested election until Dec 19, 2000. I doubt if he was partying with Bill Clinton. What is this "Crazy Chick" talking about? The Clintons' participated in lighting the Christmas Tree around the 9th of Dec. Bush was in Texas, and Cheney was organizing a shadow transition team in a Virginia office.

Look, I know where Wales is, and in fact have ancestry from there (in part). First time I ever noted that you could see coal mine debris fields in the country, we had Welsh natonalists jumping off rooftops to tell me that I had no right to insult Wales.

So, Charlotte Church has a great voice. However, I would never ask her opinion on anything.

Charlotte Church
honorary performances
Charlotte was invited to perform at the Presidential Inauguration of George W. Bush (she was also invited to perform for former president Bill Clinton for a Christmas Special), along with Ricky Martin, Jessica Simpson and Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber

vvvvvvv

I stand corrected. I guess she did meet W after all.
