It seems any criticism of Apple or its products, justified or not really gets them riled up. I have been in several conversations with members of Free Republic about Apples need to use dual processor units. They will not concede that Apple has to use dual CPUs to maintain performance parity with a single Intel CPU.

I’ll be the first to admit that MS and Intel have problems with security, but much of the negative publicity is not justified and that any combination of OS and Processor is going to have short comings.

LOL. I just installed Service Pac 1 on a Server 2003 machine. It had some interesting security upgrades along with its bug fixes.

First, I noticed that the Help service was uninstalled, then I found that Wordpad wouldn't display jpeg images -- for security reasons.

Um, this article indicates otherwise. The dual G5 runs at least even with the dual Xeon, losing slightly to the dual Opteron. This is consistent with many other benchmarks I've seen. Everybody is moving to multiple CPUs and cores, because as clock speeds can't increase as rapidly as before, it's the best way to get maximum performance.
