Ummm, this is a very stupid article...there are many studies showing that women can get aids from heterosexual intercourse. In fact, the largest group of people currently growing in number of infections is African American Heterosexual Women.

You might want to check that number out considering the it is estimated that there are about 40 million people with AIDS worldwide.

In the case of Africa (and probably other regions with similar hygiene problems), the Big Lie has led not only to impaired sex lives, but to mass death. Not only have resources been wasted, but the effective method of stopping HIV has been largely ignored. This method would involve replacing the current campaigns with mass distribution of syringes (and other puncturing devices) that become disabled after each use. Syringes would also be provided for home use, to replace the popular reusable home injection kits. To the extent that any sexual messages are needed, they must explicitly focus on the one sexual behavior that is a major HIV/AIDS risk for otherwise reasonably healthy persons -- receptive anal intercourse.

Find them yourself, it won't be hard...aids spreads through all of the above, including vaginal intercourse, anal sex, and the sharing of needles...to suggest otherwise is foolish.

People should abstain from sex until marriage or wear condemns if the choose to have premarital sex. Duh.

Then why wouldn't one expect that 100's of millions in North America, South America, Europe, and Asia to be similarly affected?

The article may be stupid, but it isn't as stupid as your comment.

The natural, obvious, and unmentioned reason that so many African women are HIV positive (if that is indeed the case) is they HIV is a harmless passenger virus, riding inhumans for millenia, probably transmitted during gesation, and having Africa as its natural home.
