Many with the disorder idealize a childhood that they may wish they had had but did not, for the reasons discussed in my earlier post #16.
There is a blurring of the lines between childhood and adulthood, and a celebration of the childish, fantasy-loving cartoonish self -- a make-believe world in which the self is a protected child. The childlike "gay man" (or lesbian) is safe from the expectations of heterosexual responsibility and mating rituals leading to frightening episodes with opposite sex expectations, pregnancy and the tensions and anxieties typical of heterosexual relationships. The homosexual "inner child" is safe from the actual homosexual exploitation that took place in his/her dimly remembered childhood.
Gay rituals are self-mocking, a ritualistic sexualization of innocence -- behaving like a "naughty" or even a "dirty" child -- one who never leaves the oral/anal stage.

The very sad thing is that TPTB don't want want the truth to be broadcast - that there are many, many former homosexuals. It isn't necessarily easy, but it is possible to leave the "gay" life.
