About 35 years ago, I got into an argument with a Hispanic female. What started it is that she called me "white girl". I asked her what in the h___ she thought SHE was, that she was as "white" as me.
I guess I just have never understood calling people of Spanish descent "another race".
Now I have a granddaughter who is 1/2 Guatamalan. In addition, she has a little bit of Cherokee from my side. What does that make HER? A half breed? Another race? I don't think so !!!!
Americans are so "mixed" that there are hardly any DISTINCT racial divisions any more, any way. People tend to forget that. Skin color is not necessarily an indicator, as DNA tests have proven.
I wish people would get over this junk of RACE. It's all nothing but a bunch of bull and is responsible for creating hatreds that should never be there.
I agree wholeheartedly. And, like you say, there are those on ALL sides and of ALL colors who are guilty of this.
