If the Democrats chose to filibuster such a fine, intelligent man who has lost so much, it would speak volumes about them. . .& memories of 9/11 would come flooding back.
He maybe wouldn't want to go through the process. . . though he seems to be a very strong man.
While I'd love to see Ted Olsen on the bench, he left Government for private lawfirm work - probably for the paycheck, and to get away from being stymied by Dimorats in Gommint.
But an appt. as Supreme Court Judge? I find it difficult to imagine the circumstances where he'd turn that down.
