Subway Disruption Due To Suspicious Package Investigation
(New York- WABC, July 7, 2005) A bag in a subway tunnel was investigated by members of the NYPD's bomb squad -- the first suspicious package reported in the subway so far today.
The bag was found in the subway on Central Park West near Fredrick Douglass Boulevard on the Upper West Side just after 3:15 p.m.
The bag was several yards into the subway tunnel, and members of the NYPD's bomb squad were investigating.
Bomb squad members said it was the first suspicious package in the subway system that they have responded to so far today.
As of 3:45pm they were still no investigating, and subway service was suspended in both directions on the A, B, C, and D trains between the 59th Street station and 125th Street station - due to police activity.
So the A, B, C, and D trains between the 59th Street station and 125th Street station are still shutdown?
