I see we are all searching! Yes, that "things will start in London" was around before 2004. This is what I recall.
I first thought it came to be from the Jihadi Falcon 19/19/19/23 and /24 demands list, but I am not able to find any mention of London at all in that original threat. So that wasn't it.
It is worth pointing out that many attack plans have been thwarted in Britain over the past 2 years, so there may or may not be any meat to the original threat if there ever was.
However, the fact that a newer security group was put into action in the U.S. makes me wonder what else the authorities have and are not revealing. Catherine Herridge from FOX spoke about this group and said it was the first time the group was called upon I think? Or maybe it was the first time the group was activated because the group was only recently formed and made ready and Herridge did not know or relay that info?
I know I am relieved that there was no dirty bomb attack in Britain this morning. This could mean many things...some positive and others ominous.

I agree. Unfortunately our mass transit system is not much better guarded than London's (or the rest of the world for that matter).
