China on Thursday remained mum on the reported successful testing of a long-range nuclear-capable ballistic missile by its navy from a submarine 10 days ago.
"China has made some efforts in the field of stepping up its national defence. But for the specific question, I suggest you refer it to the Ministry of Defence," Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Liu Jianchao told reporters when asked to confirm the reports on the test.
