Who could possibly care that he was paranoid, conniving, narcissistic (I take exception to that one), anti-semitic (his law-partner & close friend Len Garment would disagree, as would several other Jews, though he was emphatically antiZionist).
Perhaps what you say is true. I always thought those were prerequisites for the job. Anyone without those qualifications really makes a very ineffective President. Carter and Bush 43 are the exceptions that prove the rule.
