Washington Post ^ | June 2, 2005 | Petula Dvorak

The job candidate interviewing to be a terrorism research analyst at the Library of Congress seemed to have exceptional qualifications: a 25-year Army veteran and former Special Forces commander who spent a career hunting terrorists and often personally briefed the vice president, defense secretary or Joint Chiefs of Staff on sensitive operations.

The interviews and salary talks went well for David Schroer. A job offer followed, and he accepted. Then the new employee brought up one last item: Once work began, the name would be Diane, not David.

He's a mental incompetent and should not be hired for such an important security-related position. Let him sue all he wants. He's a mental case. No judge will expect anyone to hire such a looney tune.

"I felt cheated and kind of hurt, honestly," said Schroer, who called the ACLU the next day.

Kind of speaks for itself....

The Human Resources Manager at the Library was quoted as saying, "Nothing personal, but he / she just creeps me out."

Clearly this person has not yet done enough for society to have earned the right to live as he/she wants. Just out of curiousity, how much would that be? And when did all you heros satisfy the requirement?

This is not about earning a right Grut. This man has a great record of sevice to the American people and I don't think you'll find anyone here who doesn't respect his achievements and feel gratitude toward him. Unfortunately he also has a case of gender disphoria, which is a mental illness. The mental health community at large is copping out on gender issues and allowing these poor people to become amputees, with enough female hormones injected in them to cause biologically inapropriate breast growth. In addition these poor souls can expect many painful surgeries to resculpt facial bones, shave adams apples and remove hair, and a lifetime of taking hormones which a biologically correct human body normally produces. To add a final indignation, most people will reject the notion the transgendered person is actually now a member of the opposite sex. These people end up being regarded as pathetic "freaks" by the public at large. Is the public unreasonable to view these folks in this light? Heck no, we're not stupid and at the simplest level, people don't beleive that a surgically modified duck actually becomes a goose, just because it wants to. A duck is a duck is a duck, except for those that are surgically modified to look like a goose, those are surgically modified ducks. The problem here is that the mental heath community is grossly negligent in it's duty to treat these individuals actual problem, which is a lack of affinity to their biological gender. That's because the ducks that are in the mental health community are quacks.
