He's 7 years old. Do you believe he has the mental capacity to understand what he did? Just asking.

whether he does have the mental capacity or not, "why the heck is the boy so violent?" what he did was extremely violent, whether he did it to a dog, a piece of furniture or a tree...

I think it is impossible to say "parents". I only feel this way because of the situation I am in. My husband will often get his kids after she (the ex) makes it difficult. And we spend the whole weekend watching them like hawks because they fight all the time. My husband is the calmest sweetest man and I know he is not to blame for the way those kids behave, she left him when they were babies. And so I believe it is hard to say "parents" . In any situation where we do not know all the facts...:)
