Yes.
Because the numbers often read here are hysterical, inflated, and wrong. They are generated by people who have an axe to grind with France. France is written of as a country that is submerging in Muslims. America has twice the Hispanic population as France has people of Muslim origin, and yet France is submerging into Eurabia, while America is...what?
Is America dissolving into Mexico?
And if so, is the vaunted President George Bush doing one thing to stop it? Other than refuse to close the border and offer amnesty to speed the process? Well? I read fire and brimstone and hellfire ejected at France, which in fact has one half the proportion of Muslims as America has of Hispanics, and given a sea between France and North Africa, a decidedly less severe illegal immigration problem. I read how France is doomed and deserves it.
So, is America also doomed, given twice the inundation of foreigners already that has transpired in America? At least in France there has been an aggressive effort by the state itself to expel illegal aliens. And President George Bush, has he done the same in America? Is the American Border Patrol, controlled by the American President, gladly accepting the assistance of these American "Minutemen"? Or is the American government actively seeking to discredit, disgrace and humiliate these "Minutemen" and to permit the flood of aliens to continue unchecked? Hmmmmm?
So, France is going to drown, with 6.5% of its people of Muslim origin, because France is stupid and "does nothing about this" (when actually France is quite aggressive about identifying and deporting illegals). But America is either hunky dory, destined to sail through the millennia the paragon of superiority because the Americans do not allow their country to drown in foreigners? Is that it?
Or is it that Americans are drowning too, and that the American ship has taken on twice as much water as the French already...in which case America is not so much wiser and better put together than France to endure the ages. is it?
There are those here who exult (in an utterly exaggerated and unrealistic) vision of future French "dhimmitude" because of an imagined Muslim invasion, and who gloat at American superiority. Well, senor, you have taken on twice the water as France already. Perhaps all will drown in a sea of brown, but that would mean that America was precisely as stupid as France is accused of being here, wouldn't it?
