I have a different take on the Scientology segment. He did keep mentioning that you had to PAY for help, etc.
I did not know Greta was part of the cult. I am not surprised he did not mention that. He rarely mentions her at all.
There are times that I think he does not watch Fox at all - he will contradict what other shows have said/done. He is a pompous windbag - and no one had better DARE disagree with him.

He was hitting the St Petersberg Times last night. One of the most biased papers in America. They are my hometown newspaper, and they make me ill.
Just seeing their headlines as I walk by makes me furious. I want SO MUCH to see their circulation drop. Their criteria for a front page story is, "Does it make conservatuves and Bush look bad."
O'Reilly is the first person I have heard in the media really take them on. And he minces no words about it. He called them "corrrupt" last night.
The way I view O'Reilly is a guy that has no fear speaking his mind. He doesn't mince words with anything! That's what I appreciate about him and what I think makes him a solid analyst. I might disagree with his viewpoints from time to time, but I think that's what I actually like about him.

There are scores of FR memebers who will not only stab O'Rielly and Hannity in the back, they will savage the bodies beyond recognition. Not content with just doing that, they will then proudly drag the bodies though the streets, proclaiming that somehow by their actions they have advanced the cause of liberty and conservatism.
O'Rielly, single handedly, and against all odds, took out Ali Arian (spelling is wrong, but he's the muslim-terrorist-professor from Florida). None of the slamming posters can claim anything that even approaches that, and yet, they carry on as though they are the saviors of the Union.
They ought to be so ashamed that they would change their names before ever posting here again.
I wish Jim RObinson would offer the same protection to O'Rielly and Hannity that he does to Rush. They certainly deserve and need it
Not everyone agrees with O'Reilly on everything and that's a good thing. I don't agree with him on somethings but the best thing he does is that he inspires dialogue about important issues. And not just mindless dribble etiher, he offers well-thought out opinions that encourages others to think as well.
Then, when he virtually begs for Dean, Kerry, and Satan's Prom Queen to come on his show, states the UN should be in charge of charity work, and other political innanities, he seems so bad.
I do not want to get into Hannity right now. He pisses me off on a daily basis. I know it is his program but a day or so ago he is mainly discussing Michael Jackson. Who cares and what does that have to do with pushing the conservative movement? Last week he is talking about the runaway bride and saying that he always thought something was wrong and she should pay back the city. Bull! He was stating people should leave her alone. Yesterday, he is discussing those who hire illegals and states he is with the guys who think it is not their job to check if someone is an illegal or not. He just says some of the most innane things possible.
Actually, I don't wonder why. This show was promo'd over the weekend, and with the breaking news yesterday morning that the 30-year-old mystery was finally solved and O'Reilly made no mention of it, it was clear that yesterday's show was pre-taped and O'Reilly was caught absent by breaking news.

I don't listen to Hannity either, for the reasons you listed, and others. You, unlike so many others here at FR, criticized him without beating him to death.
He IS on our side, yet to read so many posts at FR, you'd think he was worse than Kerry or Kennedy. It makes me very susupicious of those posters.
Well, I am not really sure why everyone is giving Hannity and O'Reilly so much grief. Why would you have to agree with everything they are saying. Both of them so conviction, which is something VERY unique in the world of journalism. I respect them for what they do, and I agree with them 50% of the time. The other 50%, i listen to what they say, becasue they usually have a decent point or two. Just becasue they might have a different approach to journalism, doesn't discredit their merit. I think they are saving the world of journalism right now.
Agreed. The bashing doesn't help our casue one wit, and certainly damages FreeRepublic.
From time to time the powers that be at FR ask for new ideas to include in the software.
My wish would be to be able to 'tag' posters (it would show only on the readers computer, not on everyones), so that when I read a post and replies I could see "Hannity Basher" beside the name of the poster who I found was bashing earlier.
I'm suspicious of the bashers. I'm not convinced that they are here to advance, or even discuss, conservatism. Suspicious that many of them are simply trolls or Fifth Columnists here at FR.
"O'Really" tonight asked Douglas Brinkley something like "do soldiers today have the heart that Army Rangers in WWII had?" Or something to that effect?
He asked it like he did not think so? Which I found nauseating!!
You know, as a Navy retiree and vet, I will be the first one to tell you that I did nothing glamorous, exciting, or heroic. And while I was not a screw up I was not exceptional either. Did my time, made E6, got out. Did better than my father did when he was in the Navy and better than my two brothers - one served in the Army and another in the Marines in the 60's. However, I have nothing but respect for Marines and soldiers. Hell, I have respect for Marines whose only excitment was boot camp. I consider getting through Marine boot camp a hard challenge. I do not know if I could have done it and I have the feeling the majority of these news people and talking heads - BO included - could have done it. To question the courage and honor of those in the service today is somewhat repugnant.
