Police To Investigate Death
POSTED: 5:22 pm EDT May 31, 2005
COLUMBUS -- Coroners in Columbus are trying to figure out why a man died after being maced by police Monday, NewsChannel5 reported.
The suspect attacked an officer who was responding to a break-in. Investigators said the officer was forced to use his mace.
The spray is not lethal.
NewsChannel5 partner Ohio News Network reported the suspect had problems breathing after being arrested.
At some point, I don't know if he was placed in the back of the cruiser and we did notice he was going into some respiratory problems. They got a squad here and once he got to the hospital doctor's pronounced him dead, Sgt. Brent Mull said.
Columbus police said they will conduct an investigation.
What did they have in that can....Hydrofluoric Acid? Well whatever it was i want some.
Nuff said right there.
Nothing else matters.
That's right, as long as there's no one to testify otherwise there'll never be any further investigation.
" The spray is not lethal."
Umm...it may be...for some people.
Maybe the suspect had allergies, or asthma...who knows or cares.
The suspect attacked an officer who was responding to a break-in.
hmmmmm..I dont seem to see the word "alledged"..now, I have no sympathy for the perp....but to only hear one side of this story is not at all what I would call fair journalism.
Guess it would suffice to say if he wasn't a) committing a crime and b) didn't attack an officer, there would hav not been a need to engage the use of mace.
Too bad, so sad.
Note to self, "Don't attack an officer during a break-in."
Tasers do.
Oh well......
"The spray is not lethal."
Except when it is.
