Actually, Occam's razor says the simplest from a number of equally likely theories is more likely to be the correct one, but I take your point. :-)

I hadn't heard it expressed that way.

Both the definition you gave and the one I gave is problematic because it is difficult to quantify simplicity. And no two theories are equally likely.

That fractal image I posted could be considered just as simple as a circle because they are both created with simple formulas.

But look at this from Wikipedia: "In its simplest form, Occam's Razor states that one should make no more assumptions than needed. "
