I would bet it is CCR without John Fogerty.

Bingo. That's why it's "...Revisited" rather than "...Revival." John Fogerty has nothing to do with this band, except that he wrote all of the songs (but does not own the publishing rights and, hence, cannot refuse others permission to play them, nor does he get paid.) Coming soon to a casino near you.

Make your own at: Support Our Ribbons and clicking on the "Ribbon Maker".

PSA: I am not affiliated with this company in any way, though I do have fun using their "Ribbon Maker" feature to make ribbons for Zot! and OFST threads.

This year’s “Gathering” of Viet Nam transportation veterans is being held at Branson this year, instead of at Fort Eustis as it was the last couple years. Sure wish I could get to Branson – I enjoyed the Gathering at Eustis, but as I live about 2 miles from there it’s no problem. Every year it has been a little better and bigger. This year it looks like a full scale blow out.

"My favorite currently is the 'Get'er Done' yellow ribbon-magnet I saw affixed next to a Christian Fish on the back of an SUV driven by an attractive lady who passed me. But I haven't been able to find it anywhere on the internet. Any leads?"

The attractive lady or the magnet? :)

I'd say it is one of the top ten records of the 1964-74 era.

I gotta say that's refreshing statement. Thanks for your Loyal, Courageous and Enduring Service

"As a viet vet who did two tours, I'm getting tired of this we never welcomed them home crap"

I never was spat upon, but a friend of mine was. The problem with the sad Vietnam homecoming experiences is that the general public believed all the Jane Fonda crap and a lot of them still do.

A flash of golden hair , a cloud of dust and she was gone.

Run to your nearest store and buy a copy of "Pet Sounds." It's that good. Then, buy Brian Wilson's "SMiLE."

That being said, it's a shame we have Beach Boys without a Wilson (Carl & Dennis are dead, Brian has moved on to better things), and CCR without a Fogerty (Tom is dead, and John has moved on to better things).

Good ol' Fort Eustis. Do they still have the flying saucer out in front of the Transportation Museum?

I hope my Dad is interested in this homecoming event. I just might try to join him in Branson for a day or two.

I live 45 miles north of Branson and plan to attend the grand finale on Saturday. Where will the old TC guys assemble?

It’s in the shop for some much needed repairs and maintenance. I hope it is returned to the display soon – I loved showing it off to visitors.

There will be a bunch staying at the Ozark Regal in a block of reserved rooms. This include a lot of the old gun truckers and PBR types.

My Dad was in Operation Gamewarden (PBRs). I'd appreciate any other info you may have on their gathering at this event. And thanks for the flying saucer update! :-)

people would not stop buying me drinks

I'll promise to stop buying you drinks, long as I can buy you a drink first.

Thanks. I poked around a bit but did not see anything related to PBRs. I'll check the Gamewarden website.

Last year was the first for the Army’s PBR company to show up at The Gathering. They had a good turnout – right up there with the nut case guntruckers (who show up with armed gun trucks) so I expect a bunch to show up at Branson.
