I haven't heard any recent news on his health, but it's been several years since he was initially diagnosed. It's even more tragic considering he was only about 60 when he got the news and I know his name was always mentioned as a contender for one of the SC Senate seats or even as a possible presidential candidate. I know that his son Mike is running for SC Lieutenant Governor in '06 and said that his father would not be able to participate in the campaign.

Thanks so much for this info as sad as it is but happy for his son and will pass this information along to my family in SC so they can work for him. Do you are any other thoughts for a possible run against Graham-cracker?
