Yeah he did make a good point. SS is a bit of a non-starter for me. I'm in the age group that will get reduced benefits (even though I've paid in all of my life). I've invested my money well in other areas and am not depending on SS.... but yet I'm not sure decreasing my benefit even though I may not need it is really fair.
