From
a review at amazon.com:
Through two terms in office and a host of scandals, Harris notes that Clinton has managed to survive with high regard among the public because of his "authentically populist spirit" and a genuine connection to the American people. Readers of whatever political posture should enjoy this absorbing look at a compelling political figure.
Snort.

Wasnt it his "genuine connection" to similar baby-boomer liberals in the MSM that saved Clinton's butt time and again???

. . . Harris notes that Clinton has managed to survive . . . Clinton survived yet 3,000 did not survive on 9/11 due to 8 years of a Clinton presidency.

"high regard among the public"
If you can call a personal approval rating of 25% as "high regard" - then you are delusional.
The only "high regard" this jackass has is from THE MEDIA. And .. since this was written by one of the media's Clinton lovers .. I will not waste my money.

mewzilla,
I agree.
"authentically populist spirit" is code for Communist and the last "authentically populist spirit" was gunned down in the back of the Louisiana State Capitol building in 1935 (imo, on orders from FDR).
Huey Pierce Long was going to run (and probably win) in '36 with his, Every Man a King campaign.
Thanks for the excerpt!
