Seriously, you can't expect children who were educated in the American public school system to understand the importance of this day. To most young people, it's just the day the neighborhood swimming pools open.
God Bless America and all our armed forces, living and dead.

Email the PR department of Google and ask if they company does not feel it worth noting on their website, why do they give the employees the day off?
what is their cs address?
If this is the best gripe Freepers can come up with today, I say we are blessed indeed!!
The Google logos are just for fun. Quit trying to make something else out of it.
Stupid discussion.

Odd, I guess you don't see what I see. FR's Home page reads like a year around Memorial Day celebration.
Who can we contact to publicize this little gaffe? I think that it is as important as the ridiculous riffs leftist pound out...and it would be fun to see if we can tumble their stock.
My note:
I cannot believe that you did not honor Memorial Day with your Google Logo.
I am ashamed I ever used your services and have just signed up for another program. I have also contacted the press. I hope your stock slams south when Americans discover how leftist and America-Hating you are.
Well, they can "just for fun" make a Memorial Day logo too, can't they!
You will find some DU "sourced" articles here:

The stock probably won't budge, even on bad press. But Freepers can drive this story (thanks to the Freeper who noticed it!), and they should start by getting it to...
Drudge.
GOOGLE DISSES VETS!
Or somesuch.
I don't know if it warrants one of his silly sirens, but it is news, and he loves to break things. If it breaks there, other places will pick it up.
It's also ripe for Fox, especially O'Reilly and Hannity.
Someone might want to notify both of them, so they can hammer it on their radio shows and tv shows.
But Drudge is where to start.
I'd do it but I'm too busy finishing up a project I should be working on instead of reading and responding here (a truth for 80% of Freepers at least 50% of the time).
Is International Woman's Day a part of "May Day"? I know that it is a communist holiday almost as old.
I emailed em and let them know I think they are scum.
But Google makes a point of celebrating every other "holiday".

The headline would have to be "Google Ignores Vets Once Again..."
The issue to get them on is if they give their employees the day off, why don't they acknowledge it in the logo?
Thank you. I sent all the American links my note.
