We know Roosevelt's State Dept was strongly pro-Russian/Communism, but there were many other who took their lead from Lindberg.

I never read any biographies but I had the distinct impression that both he and Anne Morrow practised an "open" marriage and both had lovers on the side. Nevertheless, gracious goodness!
