The Pro-Death movement needs to find more reasons to keep abortion going. They are realizing that the American people are slowing moving towards life. They need stem cell embryonic research to work so that they can keep abortion and keep their pockets full of money.
I don't see diabetes mentioned.

This needs to get out the lamestream media!!
Amazing stuff when you think about it.
And here's a recent news story re: diabetes info from ADULT stem cells:

Diabetes foundation chooses politics over cure
By Michael Fumento

The slick Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation International flyer that appeared in Sunday newspapers throughout the country showed a little girl on monkey bars with her hand just inches from the next bar. "The cure is so close we can almost touch it," her accompanying mother says. Likewise, JDRF Chairwoman Mary Tyler Moore proclaimed in a recent TV commercial, "We are so close to finding a cure."
So wrong. JDRF is the world's largest juvenile diabetes philanthropy, distributing over $85 million in grants last year. Yet it supports no efforts that could lead to a cure any time soon for this blinding and crippling disease that afflicts as many as 1.7 million Americans. Instead it's become a lobby for controversial embryonic stem-cell research and refuses to help fund the only study that could soon bring a cure.

My prayers to your son.
I used to contribute to the Foundation, because my mom has Type II diabetis, but no more. Thanx for you insight on them.
We should be demanding all media and politicians to differentiate between embryonic and adult stem cell research whenever they speak of it. We could do this through Leters to the Editor and emails to media outlets and politicians every time the subject comes up. he general public really doesn't know there is a difference.
The big guy doesn't have the greatest advisors around, except for us.
Fascinating thread! Thanks Carbine for the list!

My boss had multiple myeloma; they** harvested his stem cells (millions of them) to try and cure him. He passed away a week before his 48th birthday, a year and a half ago (RIP-we still miss you Bill!)

Shhhh! If we continue supporting, talking about, funding the adult stem cell research, then how will the left keep their abortion industry profits at all time highs? Never mind that researchers at places like Stanford and Univ of Pittsburgh have also had successes and promising results. Never mind that some of the fetal cell tests, done on live people, left those folks with irreversible side effects much worse than their earlier symptoms, mostly Parkinson's patients. And never mind that adult stems cells from sources like fat and olfactory cells are safely extracted and assimilate better to adult people.
PING
I am so sorry for your loss.
Thanks!
Be suspicious of ANY national group. Before taking my current job, I did my homework and figured out that the group I work for isn't funding embryonic stem cell research at the moment. Nobody is doing it right now. From all of the statements I've read, it's not for lack of solicitation, but that the actual researchers in the lab are using adult stem cells to much success. The second they fund anything that kills babies, I'm out the door.
