I disagree, but what Hackworth and all those who got shot at in our name did was to earn and preserve our right to disagree and to hold and express opinions even if they are misguided. Long may it be so.

Hackworth was an egomaniac who admittedly broke all the rules and spent the last 15 years of his life pretending to help soldiers while actually using them to promote himself, make money, and tear others down. (True marks of a great leader ???)

I still think that he was more of a self-aggrandizer than anything else. I've been very disappointed in him that he couldn't see the truth.
