Moses placed the manna from the desert before the Tablets in the old Ark of the Covenant, but the new Ark was the repository of the true Manna, the Bread come down from heaven, Jesus Christ the Son of God. Your thinking is getting riciculous. You first post an article about researchers believing that they have pinpointed the location of the Ark. Now you argue that Mary is the Ark. Huh?????

The verse from Revelation (to many people) is referring to the New Covenant, Jesus Christ, which would mean that the ark pictured with Christ (again, to many people) is the Blessed Virgin.
The article is about the Old Testament ark of God's Covenant given to Moses, the Ten Commandments and therefore the ark in the article is the golden ark which held the tablets of stone upon which God inscribed the Law.
She is called the ark of the covenant, because Jesus, who is both God and man was in her womb for nine months.
When people say the Ark is a type referring to Mary, it's because it was a thing that was where God came to on earth, in a special way.
Jesus, by being carriend in Mary's womb was like God coming to the Ark of the Covenant, God present in a special way, and Mary was the container during that period.
And although the title might not be comfortable to you, we like it.
That clarifies the garbled back and forth. I thoroughly reject your view that the Ark is a type of Mary and consider that an evil interpretation.
I am not at all concerned. It is a dogma of the Catholic Church. We do not in the slightest accept your definition of blasphemy. I do hope that you can sometime come to appreciate the Blessed Virgin Mary before you face judgment. Pax Christi.
Well .. the issue is simple. Without Jesus, no one from the Old Testament got a straightline path to heaven.
Isaiah said the saints from the Old Testament were waiting in Paradise for the Savior to come. On the cross, Jesus said to the thief - today you will be with me in Paradise.
Without Jesus - nobody got to heaven! Therefore, no matter if the Levites knew the ritual of purification to keep from being destroyed in GOD's presence, or righteousness was accounted unto those with faith - NONE OF THEM COULD GET TO HEAVEN WITHOUT JESUS!! Their spirits were DEAD unto GOD.
They all had to wait in Paradise for Jesus to make the atonement for their sins before they could have entry into heaven.
That was my whole point from the beginning.
I understand that you reject what I said about Mary, and I'm not inclined to debate it. I was merely trying to clarify that I was referring to two different Covenants and two different arks.
I'm sure all this arguing over Mary is confusing and even laughable to Jewish readers. None of this matters! Love G-d, love others, he's still in control.

Well, in a certain sense, I agree. But all Christians subscribe to this:
Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. - John 14:6.

John Paul II was a great Marian. He ascribed to Mary the saving of his life from Ali Agca's bullet. We find great solace in Mary, through the Rosary. So yes, I'd agree, all this may seem risible to Jews, who don't believe in Jesus, acknowledge Mary as His mother, or believe in "types". It's a very serious matter with Christians, though.
