Excellent news.

EU will stop to exist as we know it in 5 to 10 years. They will be back to independent states with loose economic relations.

VIVE LA FRANCE!

ALLONS ENFANTS DE LA PATRIE.....

(at least today they did something right, certainly for their own reasons, but that is what I would like to see, each electorate, each country taking its own decisions.)

I don't think so. Not without a lot more effort on the part of the individual countries, anyway. The trend right now is that the EU is continuing to get more powerful within its domestic sphere, and that trend can simply continue without a formal constitution.

That's bad news, not excellent.

There is strength in unity for our Mother Continent. Of course, first they have to get rid of socialistic way of doing and thinking, and, of course, stop the immigration from Africa, Muslim/Arab countries and other non-Western countries. Actually, immigration to Europe is not as bad a problem as it is here in the States, still it's better to conserve our beloved continent's original demographics.

And why the hell is this a good thing? There are many reasons to disagree with the proposed EU constitution. However, a divided Europe is not good for the US. A strong European economy is good for you, me, Europe, and the US.

Pls explain why you think a divided Europe is a good thing?
