About Us:
Our vision is a Republican Party that is unified by the basic tenets of fiscal responsibility and personal freedom, but that allows for diverse opinions on social issues by its members.
IMP-PAC is chaired by Christie Todd Whitman, a lifelong and loyal Republican and a leader of the partys moderate wing, who served in the Bush cabinet as the administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency from January 2001 to May 2003. Prior to that, she was the first female elected governor of New Jersey, serving two terms from 1993 to 2000.
Advisory Board:
Congressman Mike Castle (R-DE)
Susan Cullman
The Honorable Robert J. Dole
Lewis M. Eisenberg
David Eisenhower
Julie Nixon Eisenhower
President Gerald R. Ford
The Honorable Michael Huffington
Honorable Nancy Kassebaum Baker
Congressman Jim Kolbe (R-AZ)
The Honorable Amo Houghton
The Honorable John McCain

The Honorable William Weld
"we also need to remember that neither the conservative nor the liberal bases are enough to win an election on a national scale. There has to be some moderate appeal or else you get 35% and an @$$-whuppin...."
Absolutely correct. Us despised moderates are just as important. The choice is clear. Big tent or no tent.
Funny, the only Republican to recently win by a land slide was Reagan, who campaigned on an unabashidly conservative
platform. Apealing to moderates just causes elections to be close. Remember, half the country doesen't normally vote. I think it's because usually neither option is a conservative.
Remember the great turnout for RINO Dole?
This group obviously thinks the Republican Party should do without the Christian conservatives, as it did for the 40 years it was out of power.
Push the social conservatives out, and you will encourage them to form another party, perhaps the Christian Conservative Party, thus insuring that socialist/secularist Democrats run our country until the next revolution.
We were winning the judicial filibuster fight for an up or down vote on ALL judges till you're buddy Johnny McVain and his merry band of wannabe mavericks turned it into a loss.
That's what moderates did!
These moderates are not working for the voters that made them a majority!
I didn't realize you were such a staunch supporter of these traitors to the republican party, which I feel they are!
As a moderate, I guess you have republican leanings sometimes and Democrat leanings other times?
Moderates are followers, not leaders!
You got that right LOL!
Barf.
could you end anymore sentences with an exclamation point!!
When did I say John McCain was my "Buddy"?! That's right I didnt!!!
If you want to ignore reality, be my guest and vote for the Constitutionalist wackos and end up being permanently without a voice!!!
If you want to actually read what I have said about that subject, feel free to do a search on my name!!!! You might be surprised!!!!!
Rant off!!!
And no I am no Moderate, but what's reality got to do with anything!!!!!!
!!!!!!!!!!!!
It's My Party Too, Because I Don't Want To Lose My Power And Influence And Start A Principled Third Power - is more like it.
Christie Todd Whitman - the media whore who used Howard Stern to get elected NJ Governor. A cheap stunt worthy of any Dem.
The two party system doesn't work.
It will only be a matter of time before two more parties spring out of the current two.
Then leave the tent already. This is a Conservative forum......with the goal of furthering Conservatism. If you're not a Conservative maybe you should vote for democrats....as they seem more in-tune with your "values".
Well said.
I would have to agree there...
and then we will end up with quasi coalitions governments like the Europeans have....
not that we will elect Presidents out of that, but bills and stuff like that will need cross-party support to pass....
If that's the case, don't be ashamed!
Conservatives I know are indeed Constitutionalists wackos!
Conservatives are Constitutionalists!
Moderates think Constitutionalists are "wackos"!
All this time I was thinking you were a conservative, thanks for clearing that up for me!
Are you really in Iraq or are you having a John Kerry Moment?!
!!!!!!!!!!!(a few more since you liked 'em)
yeah big john kerry moment here!!!! woohooo!!!!!
give me a break!!! you are funny!!!
I guess you didnt look up anything that I have posted, have you?!?!? So much for reality!!!
Just so you know, I WILL be sticking around, if for nothing than to just be a thorn in YOUR side!!!!
Fine if you want to call me a moderate, then I will be glad to be a moderate!! See if I care!!!! YOU KNOW I DON'T GIVE A CRAP ABOUT WHAT YOU THINK!!!
I will be on here just like always!!!!
Been called worse by better!!! woohooo!!!
sheesh these exclamation points are childish!!!!!
Don't know how the government can deny gay marriage? Have you not seen the margins of people in states voting AGAINST it?
Listen to the wisdom of the electorate. THAT'S how!!!
I am concerned with a minority taking over the party that I have voted for probably long before you were born.
I don't want to see irrelevant social issues destroy the rep party, thus enabling the democrats to take over the country and ruin it.
