I had no tobacco crop at all last year, due in part to the weather and in large part to my own ineptness.
I am going to try again this year, but that is not going to be my main focus. My primary focus is going to be on an income generating crop of veggies and herbs.

Best of luck on your gardening venture. We lived in the country from 1963 till 1979 and I was a HUGE gardener. Our soil was rich and I could grow anything from roses and azaleas to vegetables. Then we moved back to Houston and I found our soil here is sandy and poor and I have too much shade. I gave up trying roses and vegetables but I do have fabulous azaleas and an herb garden. I also have arthritis in my hands which makes it not so much fun anymore. LOL
