Junior can forget about the US Senate. There are factors working against him that even the Ford name can't overcome. One is he's John's nephew. Another is he's from Memphis. He's a dimoCRACK. And he's a black dimoCRACK. Those factors are looked down on in middle and east Tennesse. In fact, those two regions hate Memphis and anything related to Memphis. I know, I live in Memphis and am aware of that dislike they have for us. Harold Ford, Jr. in the US Senate, forgidaboutit.
But if 2006 is a heavily Democrat year nationally, why couldn't Ford win even if the margin is close? And the Hilleary-Bryant primary could work to Ford's advantage; of course, people may reject Ford because he is part of the Ford dynasty there.
