Canada has new anti-terror hotline

In their attempts to increase their tools against terrorism Canadian authorities are inaugurating a toll-free tip line, directed straight to Royal Canadian Mounted Police forces (RCMP). National Security Investigations Section's Sgt. Terrance Zeniuk hopes that Canadian citizens will use the tip line to report suspicious activity in either their area or worldwide.

Zeniuk gave as an example of the type of incidents that the RCMP would be interested as including thefts of explosives or fertilizer, photographing of oil and gas sites or the purchase of large and unexplainable volumes of regular farm or household items. The terrorism tip line number is 1-800-420-5805.

if it's like any other Canadian help line or customer service center, it will be staffed by a bunch of "new arrivals" who can neither speak or understand english (or French) operating out of Montreal.
