"And justice for all". Strike back at those who seek to take away our rights to justify theirs. A balance will be established.
This should be a lesson to all that we are not helpless against the onslaught of enviroweenie facism.!
Thanks for the article!

That's what set the whackos off so bad on this case. Someone played their cards. On a level playing field, when someone has the money and the will to stand up to them, they lose on the merits.
I hope this case sets a trend for years to come. I know it's probably already been thought of, but why shouldn't the ranchers band together, pool their funds into some sort of defense fund, and fight these idiots wherever they pop up? Heck, I'd contribute what I could to see these people put back in their holes.

I have followed this for some months in www.rangemagazine.com, which I recommend to all of you while you still have some rights. Most people have no idea of the assault on rural folks particularly in the west by enviros.
I enjoyed the article even more because Jim Chilton's Dad, Ken, was the junior high principal in Cottonwood, AZ when my sons went to school there.

I can image if his son is like this that he was one strict principal. Another thing we sorely lack these days.

Do you realize just how much money and influence the environmental groups together have at their disposal? The Nature Conservancy alone has an income of about 3/4 of a BILLION per year. I think they are the biggest, but when you add all of the others the amount of political and legal influence they have is phenomenal. Their goal is to get cattle off of leased land. They want it for certain recreational uses that meet their criteria....all for free, rather at taxpayer expense.

There are still a few left
Not sure if many of those were real cowboys, but I especially loved Ward Bond.
I heard Ed Asner speak very dirty of his conservative politics and I like him even more now.

Agreed. Notice that the government officials regulating Chifton were not a neutral party - they often donated to the same group.
