I have always enjoyed and admired General Myers. I just knew I could believe him, and he was outspoken and even pretty funny. He's retiring shortly and I'm so thankful for men like him in high positions and wish he and his wife a good life as they move one last time (possibly).

They carried scalps as tokens of those killings. White frontiersmen put brass tacks in the stocks of their rifles for the macho purpose of "counting coup" in Indian warrior society. But for the warrior who gives a quote like that there is no question of "counting coup." That we leave to savages such as the journalists who eagerly counted down toward 1000 American soldiers killed in Iraq. Killed by the people journalists were rooting for.
