And so this won't come up again, Wynkoop will now use the new software to screen Social Security numbers at the time of hire. No match means no job. There's no law forcing Wynkoop to do any of this. There's a political reality that begins and ends with restaurants owned by mayors.

This company is already producing SS# verification software. It seems like they already have an SS# database to work against. Of course such a database is updated all the time.
They are doing what the Federal government should have been doing. Making an easily available database of SS# and requiring a legitimate match up for employees. With penalties for non compliance.
