From what I understand, the stuff they're demanding is mostly internal memos, inter office correspondence, etc., much of which is highly classified. There's also precedent involved, with the Senate looking once again to limit just what the Executive Branch can and cannot do.

Besides, even if the requested documents are given to the Senate, the Rats will just come up with another excuse to stall.
