Aguirre is a preening showboat, a bully, and generally a jerk, but he's about the only one presently fighting the highbinders in city government. Whatever his motives and personality, I'm glad he's there, at least for now. It's an indication of just how corrupt, incompetent, and craven our city officials are that Aguirre looks like a hero in comparison. I was particularly encouraged by his refusal to sign off on the labor agreements the City Council jammed through in the face of known illegality in their formation.
Anybody who trusts anyone else but himself to look out for his pension/old age buck$ is a fool. Stash your own money away and live happily...let the union or the gubmint do it and you're in for trouble...guaranteeeeeeeed!
