Entry level jobs are not meant to support a family of four. Entry level jobs should support one person with at least modest shelter, food, transportation (preferably at least a used car and insurance) and a little extra to go to a movie. The only single people with lower echelon jobs have to live with someone or in a shelter to get by.

What?! I live in New York and have never lived without family or a roomate. Am I living below adequate living standards?

It's not my fault that some people wait until they are 30 and have 2 kids before they get a job.

So. . .flipping burgers at Wendy's should earn some high school drop-out a "living wage?"
How about a high school student working full-time over the summer doing the exact same job as the full-time drop-out. . .cutting grass or flipping burgers. . .full-time over the summer or full-time all the time. . .pay them the same "living wage," and if not that would be discrimination.
What?

Please explain why. A job should only pay what the labor is worth.
