Since when does any Police department anywhere have to answer to Amnesty International?

Amnesty only picks safe targets to criticize.

There have been a spate of armed robberies on post offices around the country in the past few days - there was one just yesterday in my local town of Ballyhaunis!
What I find ridiculous is the fact that the Gardai have called an internal inquiry in the matter - why? They shot dead two armed robbers, why do you need a stupid inquiry for that?
My own father was delighted when he heard the two scumbags were dead - he said; "no expense with court cases or prison - just the price of a few bullets - though I suppose that they would better used on a fox." -LOL!!

Hadn't heard about this. Been celebrating Liverpool's heroics for the past 24 hours! :)
If the Gardai gave them a chance to surrender their weapons and they ignored those calls, more fool them. There should obviously be an investigation to make sure all procedures were followed, but assuming the cops acted professionally, I don't think anyone will have a problem.
