Coyote Escapes Police In Grosse Pointe
Residents Warned To Keep Trash Cans Closed
GROSSE POINTE PARK, Mich. -- Authorities set bait and traps on Wednesday for a coyote that was spotted roaming in Grosse Pointe Park, Local 4 reported.
Police said the animal escaped after it led them on a chase through a four-block area between Kercheval and Mack avenues.
The coyote is described as having a similar appearance to a German Shepherd dog, but smaller in size and with a longer snout, the station reported.
Grosse Pointe Park Police Chief David Hiller said that coyotes typically do not attack people, but may go after household pets.
Some residents aren't taking any chances and will keep their children indoors, the station reported.

You want coyotes? My neighborhood will be glad to send you a bunch. We'll even throw in that bobcat that gets spotted every few weeks.

This report makes no sense. It's the roadrunner who is supposed to be the escape artist!

But this coyote has a net worth of less than one million dollars, so he is clearly out of place in Grosse Pointe.

I'm betting that the coyote is eventually nabbed in a Starbucks.

They're around here on the far west side but are no match for gun owners, multi-acre yards, and target practice.

You want coyotes? My neighborhood will be glad to send you a bunch We got a bunch of them here too. I'm surprised they have them all the way in Grosse Pointe, but my uncle said he saw them in Detroit City running with wild dog packs.

When I moved to my house in the country, a man stopped by and told me he hunted in the area. (not the strange part)
Then he told me that coyote hunting was better than sex. (that is the strange part)

I am betting it gets nabbed inside a Walmart.

What's wrong with coyotes? They help keep the world from being overrun with fuzzy, football-sized dogs.
