While I find this whole thing repulsive, from a man abusing a child, to a judge letting him off, I would like to add one point here. My family is ex-military, and my wife's is ex-LEO, I can promise you one thing, this guy is going to live a life of somewhat exile. His life has changed, and not for the better. He actually may end up hating life more as a free man, than if he was in prison for the rest of his life. In prison, he would be somewhat protected as an ex-cop, in society, he will not only be not protected by guards, but the LEOs will torment him. This guy's life is going to be a living hell, no matter where he is. And when peace finally comes to him, then he gets to face the Lord. This a$$hole has ruined his life, no matter what !!!!
God Bless this little girl, and may she find peace.
I have seen Law Enforcement Officers put up with drunkeness, illegal use of firearms, wife-beaters and it was kept quiet, But let the law finally convict them and the fraternity is shattered. All of a sudden they are on the outside looking in.
