Not really, but Bear has spent most of his life searching for that illusive badger that he is sure lurks in our backyard under the azalea bushes. LOL
Here is a photo of him from the thread that dutchess and Gizmo did on him a couple years ago....
Of course, he doesn't actually know what it is he is looking for, but he has always patrolled the parameter of the yard in search of 'something'. Isn't it amazing how certain traits are "in" the breed? My Lab lived to retrieve anything and everything, and we never taught him to do that. He just naturally did what his breed is supposed to do.
are badgers the animals that Dax's go after regularly?
My oliver is really hung up on Raccoons.. which are abundant in our area. He is out right now guarding the house!!! They are on roof, sleep I think nearby in trees, like to hang out in garage .My one friend who walks him several mornings a week with his pooch thinks there is a bit of "coon dog" in him.
Oliver is a big time retriever.. balls, sticks, frisbee.. guess that is the golden manifesting itself,
Got my beautiful boy "Bruce" from a rescue. It took us years but we finally bonded. It's his first time. He's a 170lb. Caucasion Ovcharka. The saying at our house is "if the big dog ain't happy, no ones happy" Thank you for rescuing Oliver! Rescued dogs seem to understand and love you so much more.
