" He's lucky a lot of those guys that use crossbows would have fired an arrow."
Crossbows fire "bolts".
While you're busy doing that, I'll strike a blow against obscenities in the media.
Dana Lee Cock erman, 48, was charged Sunday with intimidation with a dangerous weapon.
Cock erman, was angry at his neighbor about his dog being shot a year ago, and fired the crossbow, narrowly missing the man.
More than likely it's a bow poundage minimum...and maybe a let-off maximum. Those two reg's are pretty common. Other common reg's would deal with broadheads.
Do you bow hunt? We have an over abundance of WT's here....and a few mule deer in the pan handle.
FRegards,
"let-off maximum" was the phrase that I was looking for. I think that you are allowed to use any bow that you are strong enough to pull, so it's not a poundage issue. Nope, I don't bow hunt. I'm going out this fall with a muzzleloader though.
They let you hunt the rut if it's with a muzzleloader here (or bow). However, I'll be "hunting" on a friend's father's property on Vashon. He's been complaining about the deer eating the tops off of his potatos. They're not exactly "wild" critters. Kind of like "hello dear, bang".
I've a smoke-pole too...but would rather bow hunt. The bow season here is from Oct 1st....until Dec 31st...Then we have a doe only bow season from Jan 1 to Jan 15...
Take Care,
