You're forgetting a great portion of that population was not part of "your flower generation" and were actually 'conservative' during your younger years.

Nope, never was a Liberal. Voted for Goldwater. Never anti-war. Never wore flowers in my hair, until I got married. Doesn't mean that I didn't enjoy a good time though! Why is it people think Conservatives have to be prudes? But remember, a Liberal in those days would have been even farther Left then the extreme Left today. History has to be lived to be understood. How will your children interpret your experiences? Who knows, they might think you were a Liberal?
