A homemade bomb explosion south of Baghdad has killed four U.S. soldiers, the military said Tuesday.
The soldiers were attacked on Monday in Haswa, 50 kilometers (30 miles) south of Baghdad, the military said in a statement.
The soldiers were assigned to the 155th Brigade Combat Team, II Marine Expeditionary Force. Their identities were not released pending next-of-kin notification.

The Iraqis know who the bombers are and based on some of their targets they probably sit right next to our soldiers daily at briefings.

"You have overreached."
You think so? Remember the Columbia prof who wished for "1000 Mogadishus (sp?)"? I don't think he was by any means speaking only for himself. Even someone as visible as Michael Moore described the insurgents as "freedom fighters."

Steve, do you think if the parents or spouses of the KIA were registered Democrats, they would they be cheering?
At least I did not call the poster a stupid SOB which was my first reaction.

No, but I do know that American military failures are routinely greeted with applause at DU and other liberal/left sites. And in my original post I cited two prominent examples in support of my comments.

Steve:
Just the "no" is sufficient to address the specific point I was addressing. You are correct about your observation regarding DU etc, but that was not the focus of my question.

And remember Ward Churchhill saying the 9/11 victims basically got what they deserved? I personally know a guy who thinks the same way. I'm not saying every liberal or Democrat thinks this way, but there is a hard core of them who do, more than just a scattered few.

The US and Iraqi military and police have caught a lot of these terrorists making bombs in the last couple of months.
The fact that there are still five to ten bombs going off everyday even yet shows how big a problem our people have there.
Our troops are dying or being injured everyday and our government is fighting this war like wusses. Just the other day our military leaders said they were going to pressure the Iraqis to not abuse the terror suspects they take into custody. Evidently they are doing what they have to capture other terrorists and get them out of their neighborhoods. All we are doing is arresting them, haven't heard of any trials or anything about them after. It's about time to start executing these murderous bastards.

First, condolences to the families of all who perished. Their loved ones died for a noble cause
The good news is that there is a light at the end of the tunnel. The terrorists are losing strength
All Freepers must continue supporting our troops and the President.
