So we should continue the illusion that "our" party actually controls the senate and it's committees and subcommittees?

Just because "party trumps person"??

When "our" party is "in control", we CONSISTANTLY give in to the demands of the minority! WHY?? RINO's like McCain & Co. FORCE the leadership to compromise (or in this case, stab them in the back)!

By continuing to fund them, we are effectively donating to the opposition.

"We" have had control of both houses since the 90's and have little to nothing to show for it. Any and all attempts at REAL conservative reform are blocked by the very people we funded and elected to enact the reforms.

And this makes sense to you??

The supposed "control" that "we" have over the senate, is nothing more than an illusion.

This is a losing proposition. If they are kicked out, the dems control the committees and the legislation that comes to the floor. In addition, the dems can then conduct "investigations" of the President.

The proper way to go about this is to mount opposition in the primaries against those who participated in this.

We do have control over the committees and subcommittees. In an overwhelming majority of cases things go our way, but their are issues where there are legitimate disagreements between those in the same party, like the current situation with judicial nominees.

The solution to the problem as you see it is better education of the electorate across the country.

Here in Colorado a couple of friends and I pass out flyers at the local high school to get the kids to listen to Laura Ingraham, Rush, Hannity and Hugh Hewitt. We've received excellent feedback so far from many of the students. We also promote our excellent local talk show hosts like Mike Rosen and Jon Caldara. And bloggers like Michelle Malkin and others.

It will take a few more years to a decade to get the true 'conservative' majority that you... and I really want to see in the US Senate. IMHO calling McCain and other Republicans traitors will not be very convincing when working to inform others through debate, discussion, etc. You will be relegated to singing to the choir that already agrees with you. This goes for the folks who call Hillary the outrageous name 'Hitlery'. Might feel good to do so, but you are turning those away who might listen to your conservative ideas.

Hey, just my thoughts.

I often believe it is a little game to play to the crowd. They already know what they are going to do. This is just a little show time hype to fool the sheeple. McCain needs to be replaced, he did a little too much singing in the Hanio Hilton many years ago. Too bad he is not like Jerimah Denton a man of principle and integrity. I know there are six more, who need replacing in the senate. President Bush needs to call those un-magnificient seven on the carpet for a wakeup call. I am sure they are laughing about the latest cave-in. Why should they worry? their sweet little retirement packages are their main concern, not the welfare of America. We need to vote for and send some real men and woman to the senate not "rino-but actually demo-commie" shells of human beings. NSNR
