Ditto here. I have no desire to punish Frist or the others that held the line. My fury is on the cabal and I want them to pay dearly. make them bleed and regret the day they ever betrayed our constitution and the people that put them in power.
the only way frist can show himself as a leader in this situation is to ignore the compromise. otherwise he is in on it.
I agree. This cabal was and is out of control. They are not team players. Let's say there's a family with five kids. Four of the kids grow up well, respect their parents, support one another, and are productive members of society. One child is a slacker who shows no interest in getting an education or a job, is disrepectful of his parents, and rejects their values. Who is to blame? I don't think there's a parent alive who doesn't recognize that every once in awhile a "bad seed" takes root, and while one may quibble about past parental actions toward the obstreperous child, that child is ultimately responsible for his own rebellion. That's what McCain and Co. are -- bad seeds. I place the blame on them more than Frist.
